Welcome to stage 4 of the Starting a Podcast for Beginners 5-part series – podcast content creation!
Previous Parts
Stage 4 is where you’re going to be planning and recording your podcast content. For your launch I recommend recording a trailer and at least 2 episodes. Your podcast trailer is a short (around a minute long) episode that simply explains who your podcast is for, what they’ll get out of it and directs them to subscribe.
I recommend recording at least 2 episodes (ideally 4) before launch because it ensures that you can keep up the momentum at launch. It’ll sit you ahead of your podcast content creation schedule to allow for any cancellations or other issues, to keep content flowing.
In this video, you’ll learn:
- Which equipment and software you’ll need to put your podcast content together.
- Other often forgotten pre-requisites to launching.
- Tips on getting the best recordings possible.
